Names in light at Wild River
Thirty-second exposures by the campfire, one name per frame, written with a flashlight.
Mockup: placeholder text written from your notes and metadata. Replace with your own words.
A clear April night at Wild River. The camera sat on a tripod for 30-second exposures at ƒ/4 and ISO 800. The fire lit the foreground, the last of the twilight held in the sky, and each person stepped into frame to write a name with a flashlight.
The trick is writing backwards from the camera’s point of view, or writing normally and flipping the frame later. These are all written straight, which took a few attempts.
